Sometimes a 3 day vacation just isn’t in the cards, but you still need a time and place to unwind. We have the solution for you! We can offer you your own private spa experience for a day with your family- special group of friends where you can wash away any tension and recharge your batteries!

Come to Mindful Waters, just 20 miles from the heart of New York City. Take a scenic drive along the Palisades overlooking the Hudson river to exit 4-5. Drive or bike up to Alpine lookout/Palisades Interstate Park, you will feel like you are in Vermont, where you can hike along the long trail overlooking the Hudson River, climb Eagle Rock where you can see the Eagles/hawks soaring over the ancient deciduous forest and the cliffs of the Palisades. Then head over to Mindful waters located 10 minutes away in Northvale, NJ, or cycle to us along Route 9W.

Once you are here, you and your group of family or close friends will be greeted by Amy, the owner of Mindful Waters, and she will explain the benefits of our offerings, how these treatments are relaxing, peaceful, mindful, and helpful to you on every level.

1. Vibration Therapy

Our Sonic Life will vibrate your entire body with sound frequencies that help your balance, simulate your lymphatic system.

2. Infrared Sauna

After this, Amy will direct you to our other therapies for you and your guests to relax and enjoy, you can unwind and relax in our infrared saunas where you will warm up and detox your body. This therapy is recommended by many doctors for helping build your immune system. It will make you feel clean, refreshed, and much more.

3. Float Therapy

After relaxing in our sauna, then take a cool and refreshing shower in your private bath, where you will then step into our amazing float suite chambers. Here you will relax in our float room as you gaze up to the starry night lights with gentle music relaxing your mind and allowing you to drift off. Disconnect from the outside world and escape all the craziness that is going on. Decompress away from technology and the over-stimulation of today’s world and drift to a completely relaxed state.

Leave the anxiety and stress behind and arrive at a state of meditative clearness of mind and purpose. It is also very healing for ones musculoskeletal system to be totally relaxed from head to toe with no need to tense anywhere while also being supported in a weightless flat position with zero pressure on your spine. Many of our guests are relaxed and able to go home and drift into a deep restful sleep.

Our flotation therapy allows the body to absorb magnesium sulfate that most of us are deficient in. Magnesium sulfate calms the nervous system and allows for better blood flow, resulting in reduced cortisol levels and released endorphins. The weightlessness and quiet space provides the mind with deep relaxation suited for meditation.

Modern day living is stressful, demanding, and at times, overwhelming. Many people are overexposed to outside stimulation such as bright lights, loud sounds, marketing, advertising, and electromagnetic fields from digital devices. Being subjected to this stimuli for long periods of time can leave the mind in a constant state of stress and create physical health problems. Being in a float tank removes these external distractions. The body is able to enter into a deep state of relaxation and the mind can rest.

4. Cryotherapy

After the flotation therapy – you can step into our cryotherapy room.

Whole body cryotherapy is a non-invasive cooling treatment that activates the nervous system so your body can do what it does best: recover, repair, and restore.

This therapy uses dry cold and exposes the body to temperatures between -130°F to -210°F for 3 minutes. When the body is surrounded by dry cool nitrogen, the skin sends a signal to the brain that promotes the blood to rush back to vital organs. This causes the blood to circulate, flushing out unwanted toxins and enriching it with oxygen, nutrients, and enzymes.

The term cryotherapy comes from the Greek words cryo meaning “cold” and therapy meaning “cure.” At the end of the 2-3 minute treatment, the body slowly begins to raise its core temperature back to normal and nutrient-rich blood recirculates back out to the hands and feet.

We designed Mindful Waters with ultimate care and concern towards cleanliness and take great pride in meticulously maintaining our standards. We use the latest in cleaning processes, employing UV Light, Ozone, Isopropyl Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, and Essential Oils, while remaining thoughtful of additional toxins that some cleaning products add to the environment. We work hard to provide a private experience and we diligently clean each space between uses wiping down all surfaces as well as circulating and spraying the air with sanitizing aromatic oils.

With that in mind we are making some adjustment to our schedule to ensure the most private experience possible and moving to a “by appointment only” schedule.

Our spa services are available Monday – Sunday for a private group of 1 to 4 people. Additional guests of yours can be accommodated up to a maximum number of  8 in total for a one spa day event.
